Week 3: Family
Yet again I find myself unsure of where to start. I have an amazing family!
I am fortunate enough to be really close to my immediate family and my in laws! I can never thank them enough for their generosity, kindness and support. I have parents who I know I can turn to for anything and who I actually enjoy spending time with. I have a sister who I would call one of my best friends. I have a large wider family who care about each other and make time for each other.
As well as my actual family I have my church family, people who made us food when Zara was born, people who answer my ridiculous amount of questions and listen to me when I talk far too much and people that I know are praying for us as a new family.
I will always be part of the ‘Rewse’ family but we have now started our own little branch of the ‘Cook’ family. It feels weird to know that I am a daughter, sister, cousin and now I’m a mum. I hope that Zara will grow up wanting to spend time with me as I do with my mum. I hope that even when she is nearly 30 she will turn to me like I do with my mum. She is 2 months old now and I still cannot stop staring at her. I am so thankful for her and for my new little family.
